School. School, school, school. Monday through Friday, school is mostly what I'm up to. Yes, this might sound boring, but everyday is actually very fun. Something I really enjoy about my new school is the schedule. We follow a schedule that is in an alphabetical pattern - A to H. A is science, B is English, C is Music, D is Humanities, E is PE, F is Design, G is French and H is Math. If the week starts off with A this is how my schedule is the rest of the week: On Monday I have ABCD, on Tuesday I have EFGH, on Wenesday I have ABC, because Wednesday is a half day for me, on Thursday I have DE, Assembly, F, and on Friday I have GHAB, and then I start with C on Monday. I know, this sounds super confusing. Trust me, that's exactly what I thought at first! But now that I'm used to it, I really enjoy it.
I didn't tell you about this last week, but I have started in my schools volleyball team! Volleyball is something I've barely done before, but I really think it's a lot of fun. I'm in the Division 2 team, and my very first game will be on Tuesday. We will have one game every week, and one practice. I hope to improve and develope during the season, but most importantly I hope to have a great time and lots of fun!
By the way, I absolutely love the house! It's magnificant. The neighbours are great and the complex is loevly. Obviously, the pool is one of the highlights. It's so so so much fun and when it's sunny after school I enjoy going for a swim.
But, there is one disadvantage. As you probably know, I take the schoolbus to school every morning which is perfect. Barely a five minute drive, how perfect? I'm very happy we chose to skip the schoolbus home, so that I cn spend time with friends after school with out worrying about catching the bus, but walking home is a slight pain... We live on a hill. A pretty high and steep hill. Luckily, it's not a very long hill, and during winters it wont be a big problem, but right now, the weather is still around 30 celsius degrees, rain or shine. Walking up a hill after a long schoolday in 30 celsius degrees is not too fun... But I shouldn't be complaining, it's ony a short walk, and a great excersise. Plus, there is a sign that I find so funny near the hill. WARNING: Look out for cows!
Speaking of excersise, my friend and I went on my very first hike this weekend. We hiked on a trail by her
house, and we weren't too perpared, considering the fact that she was wearing white converse sneackers and a skirt, I had a Longchamp backback and nice shorts... But it was lots of fun and the view was spectacular, and thats what really matters, right?
That same day, I did some pooltoy shopping aswell. Now that we have acsess to a pool, I want to take advantage of that and get some fun floaties. I was trying to find a cheap, but cool floatie and I found a perfect one. It's a super cool gigantic pretzel, but when we put it in the pool, it turned out there was a hole... Yay.. I was planning on fixing it with ductape, but it turns out that it came with a special sticker to fix holes, so I will be patching that together this week. I also baught a volleyball.
Here are the three things I am excited for over next week:
My first volleyball game,
Volleyball practice,
and using my beloved pretzel!
Tell me what you are excited for! I would love to hear! Thanks for reading my weekly update, hope to see you next week!
Hong Kong Hugs,
Alva♥
