Week #15 + #16 - House Zoo...?
Hi everyone! Long time no see! Last week, I wasn't able to post a weekly update, but that means double the fun this week!

"Stressed backwards is desserts"

I really like that quote! To me, it means that all the time you spend on things is worth it in the end. It will all come together and turn out just fine. That is something I always try to keep in mind when I have lots to do. Life is busy here in Hong Kong! As much as I love my expat life, it is all about priorities. School comes before relaxing and hangig out by the pool... Can it please be the other way around?? I really enjoy school, but attending a private school often results in dedication and hardwork, which I am totally fine with. I spend a lot of my time organizing my schoolwork, doing homework, etc, but I hope that it is all worth it and results in nice marks! This is one of the reasons I couldn't post an update last week. After a week in school, I really just relaxed and spent time with some friends last weekend to reload for next week.

In this big jumble of school, volleyball and my other clubs at school, homework, and freetime, we can of course find some very, very exciting things. As you might remember from a few updates ago, I mentioned that a family friend who we had dinner with had a baby and a dog, and how I really wanted both? My dream has come true!! Wel, partly. No baby, no more kids in the family! BUT, in the begining of October a lab-shar pei mix named Luna will join our family. While my dad was away in Sweden for business and another animal-involved mission, we were ment to visit Botox, an ADORABLE shar pei. Before we went to the shelter, Botox was welcomed to another loving family. We were still welcome to come to the shelter to see and lab-shar pei litter with six puppies. Our neighbours had already reserved one of them, two had already moved to there homes and another one was reserved. There were two black ones left for adoption, one boy and one girl. Oh my, this shelter was the best place ever. Imagine a place filled with a bunch of dogs in all shapes and sizes just waiting for a home! Ahh, cuteness overload. These puppies were so cute. At the time they were six weeks old and could not properly walk yet. Between stumbling around on the pee-covered floor, they were attempting to chew my shoelaces and scratch my feet with their tiny claws and teeth. The only outcome was tickling though... Anyways, right before we left, my mom decided to go for it! This is extremely rare in Hong Kong - A lab mix puppylitter for adoption. If we waited any longer, the two remaining puppies would be reserved. Without asking my dad who wasn't very open for our dog wish, we decided to reserve our little Luna (sorry dad!). She is the most adorable fluffball ever and we are so excited to bring her home!

Well, I would say she's tied on the cutest fluffball. Morris is finally home! When my dad was back in Sweden, he also brought back our boy. He has had a great time with his cat family, but we were all excited for him to fly to Hong Kong. Alon with my dad, and lots of swedish candy, he boarded his flight to Hong Kong on Friday evening. On Saturday morning they came home to a very excited family. In the begining, he was a bit confused. Where am I? What are these propeler things on the ceiling? Why does everything smell wierd? It must be confusing being put in a cage for 11 hours in a shaky and cold area and then come to an entire new place! Now, he is mostlly relaxed and he wants a lot of attention! He has figured out were his litterbox is, where the food is (although he has barely touched his food) and the most important thing - how to get up in the loft bed! In Sweden, Ludvigs loft bed was one of his favourite places, and I think he likes Williams here too! We are all so glad to have him back and we are happy he is safe and comfortable!

There has also been a birthday in the house! Ludvig has entered in sixteenth year! 1-6! To be honest, I think I was more excited for his birthday than he was... Oopsy!! I love birthdays so much, and who is not excited for a brunch in Tsim Sha Tsui, hamburgers for dinner and icecream? At least thats nothing I would say no to! Ludvig was very happy with his presents has his day in general. We went into the city, a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, for a birthday brunch. Even though I am a fairly picky eater, I found some really good foods! It was delicious and the hotel was lovely. My favourite thing was the desserts! See, stressed=desserts!

Anyways, other than that life is just normal. My days are filled with school, pool hanging, volleyball practices, keeping in touch with my friends in Sweden, and homework. It might not sound too exciting, but I absolutely love it!

Next week, these are a few exciting things happening:
Going to school camp in the countrypark,
Spending lots of time oudoors doing fun activities,
and Getting to know my new class more!

Sound fun? Don't forget to check my blog out next Sunday to read about it!

Hong Kong Hugs,
Alva♥
